Thursday May 15, 2014 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has vowed to make the lives of County Commissioners a living hell if they will not deliver as required.
Speaking at Kenya School of Government in Kabete during a meeting with County Commissioners, Uhuru mandated County Commissioners to take charge of their respective counties in all aspects and ensure everything functions properly otherwise they will be held responsible for anything that happens under their watch.
He mandated the County bosses to take charge of discipline in their counties, fight illicit brews, ensure children go to school and fight terror failure to which the will be fired.
The President challenged them to ensure he sleeps well at State House by doing their job otherwise he will make sure they don’t sleep as well.
“Kama mimi silali, hata nyinyi hamtalala mpaka wakenya wapate huduma mzuri (If I don’t sleep because of you, I will make sure you don’t sleep as well until Kenyans get better services)”, said Uhuru.
