UHURU in Rift Valley to save RUTO and defuse tension between KALENJINs/ KIKUYUs

Wednesday May 28, 2014 – President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday travelled to Rift Valley to preside over the pass-out parade of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).

Uhuru’s visit to the Rift comes amid tension between his TNA party and Deputy President William Ruto’s URP over Government appointments, in which the Kalenjins have said they are being shortchanged by their Kikuyu counterparts.

The move has a section of Kalenjin leaders against their very own William Ruto accusing him of selling off Kalenjins to Uhuru’s TNA since he has supported the arbitrary sacking of Kiplimo Rugut and subsequent replacement with Nelson Githinji.

The onslaught against the Deputy President is being led by among others Bomet Governor, Isaac Rutto, and MPs Alfred Keter and Zakayo Cheruiyot.

The President is expected to hold a large political rally in Eldoret after the pass-out parade to calm down the angry Kalenjins and to save Ruto who is facing heat from his own people.

Uhuru Kenyatta’s Political Advisor, Joshua Kuttuny, personally convinced the President to meet Kalenjin leaders to defuse tension in the region for the sake of the William Ruto and the Jubilee Coalition.

MUTAHI NGUNYI talks everything on CORD rally, RAILA ODINGA, UHURU and RUTO.

Wednesday May 28, 2014 – Renowned political analyst, Mutahi Ngunyi, has given his take on CORD’s planned onslaught against the Jubilee Government.

In an exclusive interview with K24 TV on Tuesday, Mutahi said the planned rallies by CORD leaders will not change anything except heckling and insulting Jubilee alliance leaders.

On former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, as he returns tour from US on Saturday, Mutahi said the former PM’s return is important to CORD sycophants because he has been away for three months.

“Raila is like a rocking chair; he keeps his followers busy but never takes them anywhere,” Mutahi Ngunyi said.

He said the CORD rally is inconsequential because it will not help solve the problems affecting Kenyans.

On Uhuru/ Ruto’s legacy, Mutahi advised Uhuru and Ruto to revive their political prowess and engage CORD leaders head on.

“Uhuru and Ruto should not sit back and wait CORD leaders to lie to Kenyans, they should mount a fierce political machine to counter CORD rallies,” Mutahi said.

SONKO REVEALS why he put President Kenyatta on loud speaker – Look how he brags

Wednesday May 28, 2014 – Barely one week after putting President Uhuru Kenyatta on loud speaker during a phone conversation, which in many ways demeans the Presidency, Nairobi Senator, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, has come out to explain his action.

Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Sonko bragged that the President and him are so close that he cannot ignore his calls. Besides he is a down-to-earth President who is easily accessible and would do anything to protect his people.

He said he wanted to prove to the Agriculture Cabinet Secretary, Felix Koskei, and the OCPD that indeed the order to stop the demolitions in South B was from President Uhuru Kenyatta himself since they would not have believed his words if he just told them by word of mouth.

“Uhuru Kenyatta is my friend and more than a brother to me, we talk all the time and he cannot refuse my calls no matter what,” said Sonko.

However, he hoped the President took the issue with a light touch because he didn’t mean to undermine the institution of the Presidency by recording Uhuru’s telephone conversation and putting him on loud speaker before his subjects.

Official: No free laptops for Class One Kids – the money was used to pay Anglo-Leasing

Wednesday May 28, 2014 – The Jubilee Government’s plans to issue Class One kids with laptops suffered a humiliating blow after Uhuru/ Ruto used the money meant to purchase the laptops to pay the Anglo-Leasing debt and now they may not have the laptops as had been promised.

Speaking yesterday, Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich confirmed that the sh1.4 billion paid to the two firms linked to Anglo-Leasing was taken from the free laptops kitty.

Rotich said it was important for the Government to pay the Anglo-Leasing in order for the country to be credit worthy.

“The Anglo-Leasing money was effected through re-allocation of funds from projects that never took off during the current financial year (2013/2014) such as the sh53.2 billion laptop project”, said Rotich.

However, he maintained that the Government won’t pay the sh3.5 billion being demanded by Anura Perrera in addition saying the Government would defend itself in the court of law against payment of such monies.

“No we are not paying any other money. We will defend ourselves in court”, he said.

IG KIMAIYO urges Kenyans not to attend RAILA ODINGA’s rally for their own safety.

Wednesday May 28, 2014 – The Inspector General of Police, David Kimaiyo, has urged Kenyans not attend the planned CORD rally scheduled this Saturday.

UHURU/RUTO’s Chief Whip now equates RAILA ODINGA’s CORD to terrorism

Wednesday May 28, 2014 – Senate Majority Chief Whip, Beatrice Elachi, has asked the Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, to sustain the ban on all public rallies saying the country needs peace.

Speaking yesterday, Elachi noted that the planned CORD rallies across the country and the much hyped homecoming party of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are likely to cause tension in the country and should not be allowed to see the light of day.

She said Kenya has a number of challenges that need urgent attention and asked CORD to rethink on its decision to hold rallies and even equated them to terrorists who trive on people’s problems.

“CORD has embarked on rallies and will unnecessarily heighten political temperatures without even attempting to give solutions to the problems. It is very disappointing to have such an opposition, which plans to thrive on problems like terrorism facing Kenya”, said Elachi.

Elachi called on Uhuru/ Ruto to tame CORD before it brings backs the 2007-like violence that left over 1, 300 people dead.

Storm in Jubilee as UHURU meets Mt. Kenya MPs SECRETLY to tame RUTO’s URP

Wednesday May 28, 2014 – President Uhuru Kenyatta is scheduled to meet MPs from Mt. Kenya secretly on Thursday to strategize on how to tame Deputy President William Ruto’s URP and TNA rebel, Mithika Linturi, over the planned censor motion against Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru.

The meeting, which was to be held on Wednesday, was cancelled at the last minute by President Kenyatta thanks to his full diary.

The meeting will also discuss among other things the continued attack of the Jubilee Government by MPs allied to William Ruto’s URP led by Nandi Hills legislator Alfred Keter and Zakayo Cheruiyot of Kuresoi, who have slammed the Government for shortchanging Kalenjins.

However, the planned meeting has caused a storm within TNA and the Jubilee Coalition as a whole, with members of the Coalition from other regions saying they were not invited let alone consulted.

The President however, through his Spokesman, Manoah Esipisu, has defended his move to meet only Kikuyu MPs, saying the particular meeting was requested by MPs from Central Kenya.

I was not consulted over the rally – RAILA ODINGA tells his supporters not to go to JKIA

Wednesday May 28, 2014 – Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, has surprised his CORD sycophants when he said he was not consulted over the planned CORD rally at Uhuru Park when he returns from the US on Saturday.

In a press statement sent by his spokesman Dennis Onyango on Wednesday morning, the former PM was not involved in arranging his homecoming reception.

He also urged CORD supporters not to go to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to welcome him due the security situation in the country.

He said Raila Odinga will come like a normal citizen because he knows large crowds are targets of criminals who may kill innocent citizens.

Onyango said Raila will personally announce the dates of the CORD rallies when he returns to the country.

He said Raila will go to his home in Karen to relax after meeting CORD leaders at JKIA because he will be tired.
